Principal Investments

JF Capital Advisors makes principal investments in transactions in which its capital partners desire long-term relationships and aligned interests. We have investment experience in a variety of situations including ground-up development, going private transactions and turnaround situations. We act as general partner and asset manager in our joint ventures and focus on adding value by finding new revenue sources and property-level cost savings. JF Capital also uses its vast network of lenders, brokers, and owners to opportunistically sell or refinance assets in our principal portfolio.

Transaction Structuring

JF Capital Advisors works in conjunction with its partners and clients to source and negotiate appropriate equity and debt financing for projects. Our substantial experience enables us to create structures that can successfully deal with tax issues, ground leases, minority partners, non-prepayable debt, estoppels, purchase and sale agreements, merger agreements, and other concerns.

Transaction Enabling

JF Capital Advisors actively manages all aspects of the transaction process, from preparation of Offering Memoranda and lender presentations, to conducting due diligence and managing third-party due diligence work, to assistance with the closing and post-closing processes.

Financial Modeling

JF Capital Advisors specializes in creating detailed, flexible financial models to evaluate transactions. Our models allow partners and clients to easily evaluate returns to each tranche of equity and debt under a range of possible scenarios, as well as perform sophisticated valuation analyses.

As part of our practice, JF Capital Advisors maintains comprehensive public company comparables, transaction comparables, IPO comparables, and other analyses that we use to enhance our understanding of the transactions market and valuation trends.
